“Only a Kiss”

“Oh Dean, I’m so scared! What are those cavemen gonna do to us?”
Hank paused as he walked past his room, looking for Dean. That high-pitched voice sounded slightly familiar. He peeked into the bedroom to see Dean sitting on his bed…but he was alone.
“Shh…hush my love, I rigged it! Now relax Triana, and let your Prom King take care of you!”
Hank frowned, then started to snicker. Dean was talking to his hand! And then…making out with it? What on earth? Dean paused for a moment, having heard his brother’s muffled giggles.
“Gah! Hank, what are you doing?!”
“What? It’s my room too, I can come in if I wanna. And besides, I think the more important question is what are YOU doing?”
He walked in and plopped on his own bed.
“You were spying on me! I had the door closed, you’re supposed to knock! Now go away, I need some privacy!” Dean complained.
“To make out with your hand some more and pretend it’s that new neighbor girl?”
Dean’s face turned red.
“Just get outta here!” he shrieked.
“Why the heck are you kissin’ on yer hand when you could be kissin’ on her anyway, Dean-o?”
Dean sighed and stared at the floor.
“Well…cuz…I dunno what to do. I’ve never been a boyfriend before…and no one’s ever told me how to be one. I’m not really sure how being a boyfriend works.”
Hank frowned.
“Uh, why don’t you ask dad…or Brock?”
“No way! Do you know how embarrassing that would be?!”
“What about…all those tapes Brock has that he thinks we don’t know about? There are lots of guys in them that seem like they’re good at being boyfriends. They’re good at making the girls happy it seems. Be like them!”
Dean blushed.
“Uh Hank, somehow I don’t think that’s what being a boyfriend is really like. Besides…I’ve never even kissed anyone before…I mean, REALLY kissed…not like small pecks you give people in your family. I don’t wanna screw up and totally embarrass myself.”
Hank sighed. Dean was never going to get anywhere with this girl if he just stayed in his room all day fantasizing and slobbering on his hand.
“Well…I guess the only way to make sure that doesn’t happen IS to practice..”
“Yeah, that’s what I was doing.”
“Dean-o, ya can’t practice on your hand!”
“W…why not?” Dean stuttered.
Hank got up and sat next to his brother on his bed.
“Cuz, look at your hand.”
He held Dean’s hand up in front of them, covered in drool. Dean blinked.
“What about it?”
“Well geez Dean, does this thing look like a girl’s mouth? Does it look like any human mouth? No! You’ve gotta practice on a REAL mouth!”
“Hey, you’re right! A real…mouth…like on a real person?”
Dean paused for a moment, not liking where this was going.
“Well, yeah.”
“Practice on…who Hank? Cuz I don’t think Brock would like that very much…and I DEFINITELY don’t wanna try that with Dad cuz that’s just gross.”
“Um…”
“So that just leaves…”
Both boys looked uncertainty at each other.
“Me?” Hank squeaked.
“Yeah. Well…we don’t have to worry about it…Triana would never wanna kiss me anyway.”
Dean stared sadly at the floor Hank felt bad for his brother. He knew Dean was obsessed with this girl and wanted to be with her more then anything. He also knew that Dean wouldn’t get anywhere unless…he helped him. Hank loved Dean, and wanted him to be happy…and really it didn’t seem so bad when he thought about it. It was all for a good cause.
“Dean-o…you can practice on me. If ya want. I can help ya out, tell ya if you’re doing it right and such. If ya really wanna that is.”
Hank shifted nervously on the bed. Dean’s eyes widened.
“What…? You’d..let me kiss you? You…you want me to practice kissing on YOU?”
“Well…yeah. Cuz I want Triana to like you…cuz I want you to be happy.”
Dean slowly smiled at his blushing brother.
“Wow Hank…thanks.”
“Uh huh.”
“Well…what do I do?”
Hank rolled his eyes.
“Just kiss me stupid, it’s not that hard. Don’t be all slobbery like you were on your hand though or I’ll put my foot up your wow hole I swear.”
Dean nodded. Still unsure of what he was about to do, he leaned slowly toward his brother, who was beet red. He felt himself start to sweat, knowing his face was just as red. Should they really be doing this? What would their dad say if he were to walk in right this second? What would Triana think of she knew he was going to kiss his brother…so he could be a good boyfriend for her? Dean paused for a moment. Hank’s eyes were staring back at him, surprised.
“Ar…aren’t you gonna kiss me Dean-o?”
The way he said it confused Dean. It was like Hank WANTED Dean to kiss him…for reasons beyond practicing to be Triana’s boyfriend. He closed his eyes tight, ignored the feelings of confusion stabbing at his mind, and pressed his lips against Hank’s. A fuzzy feeling filled Dean’s body, and all the confusions disappeared. Hank’s lips, moist and warm against his own, somehow made everything seem wonderful for those few seconds…Dean never wanted to let go of that. Suddenly Hank pulled away, leaving Dean disappointed…and embarrassed.
“Geez Dean-o, ya gotta come up for air ya know!”
“I know, I’m sorry...I think I got lost in the moment or something.”
Hank smiled.
“It’s ok…that wasn’t so bad actually. At least you didn’t drool all over me. We’ll have to try again later, I’m supposed to help Brock wash his car.”
A look of fear passed over Dean’s face as Hank stood up and headed for the door.
“B…Brock?! Hank you can’t-“
“I won’t tell him, don’t worry. I’m not stupid ya know.”
Dean sighed.
“K…uh, did you say try again later?”
“Well yeah…practice makes perfect ya know.”
Hank smirked as he walked out of the room. Dean laid back on his bed and stared at the Bizzy Bee poster on his wall. He had just had his first kiss…with his brother. And it had felt…indescribable, but in a good way. He wondered if that was what all kisses felt like…or if Hank’s were special.
These same thoughts crossed Hank’s mind as he headed toward the hanger to help Brock with his car. According to Brock, it was wrong for a boy to like another boy. But why did kissing Dean seem so…so right?
“Oh god Hank…you’re not falling in love with your freckled spazzy bookworm of a brother, are you?” he mumbled to himself.
This couldn’t happen, not if he wanted to be just like Brock! Hank shook his head in an attempt to rid himself of the nagging thoughts. After all, it was only a kiss. Whose to say it really meant anything? It was only a kiss. It was only a kiss.
A Dean and Hank Venture fic...*WARNING, THIS IS SLASH* But only involves kissing, so I've rated it G. But still....you've been warned.
Hank convinces Dean he should practice his kissing before he actually kisses Triana....yup. You know where it goes from there. :D
